(RECAP: The Bristol Redevelopment and Housing Authority Board of Commissioners today announced plans to launch a major public housing redevelopment project. Plans call for a new apartment complex to be built on the site of the current Bonham Circle Apartments in Bristol, VA and will result in a development more compatible with the residential character of the neighborhood. Funding is expected to come primarily from two sources, one of which includes approximately $500,000 from HUD. BRHA will also seek funding through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program that originates with the IRS, but is implemented through VHDA.)
