WASHINGTON, DC – Trammell Crow Residential, America’s premier multifamily real estate company, and the only national group with more than 35 years of experience in residential development and asset management – today announced that it has opened a new regional office in Washington, D.C., to serve the fast-growing mid-Atlantic region, which includes Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Leonard Wood, who currently leads TCR’s Southeast practice from Atlanta, will add the mid-Atlantic region to his oversight portfolio. Robert (“Robbie”) Brooks has joined TCR from Jefferson Apartment Group, where he served as Senior Vice President and Partner, to provide onsite leadership of the new mid-Atlantic operations.
“We continue to be gratified by the growth and momentum across our development regions, and our new mid-Atlantic office reflects a continuation of this trend,” Mr. Wood commented. “Robbie’s local market expertise – combined with his transactional experience – will help ensure an immediate and positive presence in the region, and we look forward to bringing the unique TCR living experience to the mid-Atlantic region.”
In his capacity at Jefferson Apartment Group, Brooks led the Development Team covering Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia, which included identifying and overseeing new multi-family, mixed-use and land development opportunities, as well as sourcing and presenting new investment opportunities. He started his tenure at Jefferson in 2009 as Director of Development. Earlier, Brooks held Development Manager positions at JPI and Elm Street Development, and served as a Senior Management Consultant at Accenture. He earned a BA (1999) and MBA (2006) from The University of North Carolina.
TCR’s Washington, D.C. office is located at 3033 Wilson Blvd., Suite 700, Arlington, VA 22201. Since the late 1990s, TCR has developed in excess of 4,000 apartment units in the mid-Atlantic region, and is excited to be developing again in this part of the country.
